Author John Webster is joined by Sammy Damaren, Cameron Earnshaw, Sheila Webster and Julie Wilson to discuss wellness, including many topics discussed in John’s book.
We're your wellness check-in team, whose goal is to remind you to think about wellness and make it a priority in your life. We explore wellness and intertwined categories, such as: Mental, Physical, Spiritual, Economic, Environmental, Artistic, Intellectual and Social. If we’re thriving in some facets but ignoring others, it affects our overall well-being. Our episodes are about 50 minutes. They’re set up to allow listeners to take in the whole show at once, or in sessions over the course of the week. The segments include:
What’s On Your Mind: chat between hosts about a wellness topic (10 minutes)
Expanding Minds Interview: We talk to guests about their experiences in the 8 areas of wellness we’re exploring. Some are from organizations that foster wellness (15 minutes).
Adventures of the Starving Artist: hear about Cameron’s adventures as a musician (3-5 minutes)
Move Your Body: we highlight physical activities people enjoy and how the activities make them feel (great!) (5 minutes)
Running Popup: John shares a thought on a topic, which often comes together on a long run (3-5 minutes)
Flipside of the Coin: banter between Sheila and John – some fun while discussing wellness in the context of a relationship.
We don’t see wellness as a zero sum game. Rather, it's generated as we take care of ourselves and inspire others. We choose optimism, even as we experience challenges and setbacks.
